Tami Door is the President and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership, one of the oldest and most impactful downtown business organizations in the country. The Downtown Denver Partnership dedicates its efforts to making Downtown Denver the most desirable place to live and do business. With over 720 member companies, the Partnership dedicates its efforts to urban planning, transportation solutions, business advocacy, maintaining a clean and safe Downtown environment and public policy advocacy.
A longtime city building advocate, Door encourages collaboration by convening the public and private sector. In 2012, this belief led her to cofound Denver Startup Week, which serves as a platform to convene and connect existing and future startups in order to cultivate and grow the Denver entrepreneurial community.
Throughout her eleven years of leadership, Door has overseen multiple key city plans, such as the 16th Street Plan and 14th Street Plan. In addition, Door led an 18-month process to create the 2007 Downtown Area Plan, a comprehensive toolkit that drives strategic actions in shaping Downtown Denver over the course of 20 years.
